The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) issued a statement on Twitter for UAE residents to be careful on false information and rumours on Value Added Tax (VAT) and that we should check through the official website (www.tax.gov.ae) for reliable information.

VAT has been a hot topic this January considering that it has recently been implemented on certain goods and services. Hence, there have been a few information that may not be correct that are circulating online. The tax authority has issued this reminder to make sure we verify our sources first.
